K&N FIPK II here. I like it. Makes a loud sucking sound though.

I've got a UPD and haven't had any problems although it was a little tight connecting to the throttle body. It's my opinion that it doesn't really matter in regards to what brand of intake you purchase. The only difference between them all is how they route the intake tube (UPDs go up a little and level off to the TB; K&Ns curve toward the firewall a little and then to the TB) and whether they put a square drop in filter or a round one in the air box. They are all going to let the same amount of air in unless you have some sort of ram air mod. As far as looks go, they all look pretty cool under the hood. It's one of those things where you just have to decide what's going to fit best in your ride!

Ummm, let's see? First was K&N FIPK, then back to stock w/ ram-air, then UPD, 2x's., then Pro Cold and now soon to be a Volant. What's that, four aftermarket! The thing is, I'm not really losing a bunch of money. I sell one to buy another one, some on Ebay and some on this forum. The two on this forum, I did lose a little, good deals for fellow forum guys. The two on E-bay made almost double what I paid since I got them from Ebay to begin with.

Sport Truck tested a True Flow a while back, got 11hp and 11tq if I remember correctly. The UPD is a good design but poorly made in my opinon, the K&N's heat shield didn't shield the heat on my truck, the filter was always real hot. Everyone that has a Volant says it's quality is real good and I like the airbox for getting cooler air in the engine. Also, since I ready have the stuff for a ram-air setup, I don't need theirs. All I have to do is change my 4" flex duct to 3" and install it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. How are you guys fabricating the ram air set-up? Is it pretty easy to do? Does anyone have pictures of it installed?
