Default Coated Vs. Painted

Should I get painted headers or coated?

Everyone says coated is a must but if its not absolutley neccessary then i don't wanna spend the money

"coated" will not rust as fast. for a daily driver i would recommend coated , stainless, chrome, and ceramic anytime. i picked up a set of pacesetter lt's for about 400 and they are about 100 dollars more than the ceramic shorty edelbrocks that i had.

Like he said if you want them to last then coated is your best bet. The coated Pacesetters run a little over $500 with an off road y-pipe and there is a guy on ebay selling some stainless steel headers (OBX brand) and they are a knock off of the original Dynatech headers. They also come with and off road y-pipe for a little over $500. There is a length post on here about those with pictures of them installed on a members truck. Just search for OBX and you should be able to find it if interested.
