Default Re: Cleaning MAF

I haven't ever had to clean mine. I have like 23,800 miles though. I do know the FIPK I used to have on before the blower sucked dust right through the filter, when I drove about 40 miles on an extremely dusty road behind my gf's car sucking dirt the whole time. The intake manifold had fine dust in it, and the intake tube had a tiny bit, too. The oil turned black, so I started lookign at WTF was going on, and saw all that. Those filters suck. I try not to drive in dust like that anymore> BTW, all the fittings were tight, and the filter was well oiled when this happened. K&N would never return an email when I asked a few seperate times about it :\
I have one of thos pre charger bags for my Blower K&N, but the filter is so small anyway, I don't wanna choke on it, till I get a bigger filter.

ok...so two of the three wires inside my MAF are all bent, and 1 looks normal like it's a uniform shape where the other two are kinda crooked etc. could this be a problem or is that normal? it's never been handled or dropped or anything either.
