Default Chevy Express manifolds

Ok guys, it's not a direct truck question but...I'm putting an LM7/T56 into my '68 Mustang and am looking around for headers/manifolds to fit. The truck manifolds won't work due to them hitting the front subframe. I've seen one picture of an Express exhaust manifold and the collector seems to be more horizontal compared to the truck manifolds. I may be wrong though, because it was just one picture. Does anyone know of any manifolds that go back and exit higher? I've included some pics of where it needs to go.

car ones. vette ones exit the center.

I would look for some used shorties, you might have to cut them to clear that big'ol'steering box

I don't think 'Vette ones will work either because I'd still have to get exhaust pipe by the steering box. I'd need manifolds that exit at the rear and higher than trucks I think.

Yea, I'm thinking that something custom might be the answer. Nice project you have there

If you look into Conversions and hybrids on LS1 tech there are alot of companies that sell headers that will drop in and bolt up LSX motors in various chassis

I doubt anything but custom headers will clear that steering box!!!

The F-body manifolds are rear dump and tuck close to the motor. If the truck manifold will clear the box, but they hit the frame, then the f-body will clear the frame for sure.

Thanks for the comments guys. I've looked at the conversion headers and all I seem to find are older GM cars. Those might work, but I'd need to see them installed in a vehicle so I can reference their relationship to the block/trans. BTW, I'll be bolting up the T56 in a week or so to see how that'll clear.
The truck manifold on the driver's side hit the steering box if I remember right. It hit the frame on the pass side though for sure. Would it hurt to run, say, f-body manifold on the pass side and 'Vette one on the right...assuming it would clear?
