chevy 4.8 vs ford 5.4

i actually first thought i would lose but after talkin to0 the guys on this forum they had me thinkin right. i know for sure (becuase i have raced the older 5.4) that they are alot slower but my buddies 04 was a little quicker with mods im sure it can be a desent truck but i shall continue my mods and hope i stay ahead.

man the new 5.4 fords a re slow as **** check this out there was this race
a 4.8ecsb 2003 stepside vs a 2005 ecsb ford f150 5.4
the 4.8 won the ford would barely spin the tires and even with the slippery streets in mexico

also, last time I checked chevy trucks aren't missing bolts from thier p/s pumps, they just use those "outdated" inverted flares.
"variable intake runner control" anyone??? I wont get started on that disaster

i have a 5.3 with hypertec borla muffler cool air k&n, ram air 4.10 auburn posi
all free mods anf throttle boady spacer, i somoked a 5.7 ford it was a 95, he had headers k&n chip and all i bet i beat him by 10 car lengths in 2/10 of a mile

all I can say is my wifes 01 ranger is the reason we now have 2 02 chevy pick ups. That thing spent more time at the dealer for repairs on stupid stuff like the egr valve and small things. Not to mention all the nice recalls. Everytime they so called fixed it 2 weeks later they were doing it again. Don't get me wrong it was nothing major but having a ses light on all the time will drive you nuts.
