Default changing t-stats and dexcool

After changing the t-stat tonight I capped here off with regular tap water, then started thinking about dex cool and some of the things Ive heard about it. Researched some and come to find out it doesnt do well when air has been introduced into the coolant loop, causes it to turn to gell.

So my question is this I know alot of yall have changed t-stats, did you refill with water-distilled or tap
has anyone run into problems with air gelling the dexcool?
has anyone switched back to the green.

Tomorrow Im flushing it and putting good ole green in. Im not paying 10 bucks a jug for something that seems to cause alot of problems.

I have never heard that but this is why you need to burp your cooling system so you don't leave any air pockets.
