Default Changing the exhaust around some

I have a dumped Magnaflow now. I cut out the cats a few months ago and welded in test pipe. I liked the sound at 1st but now its getting to me. It sounds great at idle and WOT but cruising speeds has a lot of rasp that I cant stand.

If I take the dump off and let it exit out the back like it came stock, will it sound better or do I need to get some high flow cats?

i would just take it over the rear axle and point it downward.....that way you still get the same appearance as the turn down (u dont see the pipe) but the drown and rasp is gone....

i have a sigle 3" like this and i love it, no drone at cruise and no rasp to speak of......
