Default Changing from a 5.3 to a 6.0

What all does it involve? Can you run your same pcm, transfer case, and tranny. Any changes need to be made to the pcm like sensor wise or is it exactly the same? Where would you go about getting one? New or used? What the price range you should look for? Motor mounts diff or the same? Any help would be appreciated

some guys have gotten a 6.0 and sold their 5.3 and only lost maybe 100 or 200 bucks so if you can do that then you have one hell of a mod if you do the swapping yourself

I believe there is an issue with the crankshaft length for the 6.0 matching up with the 4l60e transmission. I think the older 6.0 engines have longer cranks that won't match up with the 4l60e transmissions. Maybe parish8 will chime in because he has done the swap a while back.

the 6.0 needs to be 2001 or newer, it should have the aluminum heads on it too. other than that it bolts right up.

Why a 2001 or newer6.0? Is it just because of the heads or what? If i might ask..
