50 thou.... they must have heated up the SS too much or maybe they dont use a plate to keep the metal from tweaking while welding.

I found the thread where I had issues.

Yeah I remember seeing that post, did you ever get that to fit properly? Mine was alittle off with the bolt holes but I just rolled the muffler side to make it fit and re welded the hanger. Y-pipe version though not duals.

Man, times have changed. Forever ago I swear I bought a set of Hookers for a '65 C10, was told it was OK to use the 73-up Blazer headers for a good fit. They were right. Fit with no problem, no leaks (back then we would use the steel "perforated" looking OEM manifold gaskets), etc. For about $150.

Edit - actually I think I originally bought them for a '63 Suburban, and they ended up on my '65 C10 later. And FYI your header post just made me feel old. Thanks!

Sometimes new doesn't mean good, sadly enough. I dropped my Kooks in about two years ago now and while they are indeed a tight fit, I didn't run in to any of the issues mentioned.

Yes, but the Kooks pipes are cut off and Vbanded. It goes into a 2 in 2 out Spintech muffler, over the axle, and straight out the back of the vehicle. Blew my motor around Thanksgiving and it just sits in the garage these days.

I did a NV4500 swap on which is pretty much done other than doing a remote shifter to get the console to fit and it needs the dash put back together.
