catch can questions
#1
I made a catch can/ breather similiar to thishttps://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=398599 My question is do I simply put a check valve in between the barb on the breather/ catch can and intake manifold?? I was thinking that without one, boost would be lost out of the breather correct? This whole PCV thing has me totally confused.

I don't think that you can connect that system to the intake manifold. It is meant to vent into the atmosphere through the breather on top of it and bypass your PCV system all together. You need to plug the manifold connections if you use that system. If you connect it to the manifold then it will suck air into the manifold under vacuum through the breather and you will have created a vacuum leak into your manifold. If you wish to maintain positive crankcase ventilation then you can not use that system. All you can do with that system is vent the crankcase to the atmosphere.
