Ok i am putting on a sc and i was wondering if it will do any good to loc tight the crank bolt so it doesn't back itself out? I will that do any good to do that?

If you torque it down to waht is says........you wont need any loctite.

Buy a new bolt and torque it to spec. If you want to use the old one put the lock tite on the flange of the bolt and make sure the face of the pulley is clean. Putting it on the threads won't do any good. The bolt will stretch and squeeze out the lock tite.

You'll need lots of luck to get that thing torqued to spec too.

I drilled and pinned mine I got the kit to do it with from Magnacharger.With the truck on a lift you can torque the bolt to spec.

Whitt ... would youmind telling me what the injectors and pin kit are? Brian sent me a quote for both pieces and I'm not sure which does what and exactly what I need.

The pinning kit has a longer than stock bolt,a drill guide that is bolted to the snout of the crank with the pulley in place,a hardened drill bit to drill through the guide to drill a holes between the crank and pulley,a reamer to deburr the holes,2 hardened roll pins to go in the holes and a stock length bolt to hold the drilled and pinned pulley on the matched and pinned crank snout.Go to the Magnacharger website and click on the Corvette installation PDF for detailed instructions.

Ok i wasn't real clear on this quistion. I am putting on a sc this weekend and i do have a new bolt going on because i am taking off the asp pulley. What i am asking is will it be any better to put loc tight on the bolt so it has less of a chance to back itself out? I know i can get it pinned but don't have the flow to spend to do that.
