its been making a lot more noise in idle in the past couple weeks when it has started getting below freezing, but there is really nothing i could do about it. the day before i was with a buddy of mine accelerating at like 75% throttle up a hill from a stop and i thought i felt some weird vibrations just like the ones before it blew . basically it just went clunk. clunk! CLUNK. CLUNK! CLUNK!!! Bang!!! and then there was just a whole lotta banging around and oil everywhere.

yeah pick up a 6.0 and throw a cam in it and you'll make great power. just baby it for a little bit while you save for a built 60e. an 80e swap isnt needed.

by the way, where did you blow the motor? should i look for a big long oil slick on 95?

no look for a big long oil slick on 393 in concord. I got the 2005 motor with 23K on it for $600 which i think is a great deal. the only 6.0 i could get my hands on (anytime soon) was and 03 with 95K and they wanted $1100 for it i didnt think that sounded like a good deal. Unfortunately i just dont have time to wait for a 6.0 and do a cam swap. right now i'm driving my step mom's 08 Solstice GXP and with snow in the near future i need my truck up and running.
