Default Car vs. Truck coils..?

Is there a diff between the two? I found these on sale, oem part number # 12573190. They look like the car style, a little longer than my squatty round coils. Do the car coils perform any different? Thanks

The different styles just means that they came from different manufacturers. But have read in different books that engine builders belive the truck coils are better.

the square truck coils are suppose to put out something like 5000 more volts. 65000 vs 70000, something like that. i dont think it is enough to worry about unless you are looking at 20psi~1000hp kind of thing.

not all truck coils are square. most i have seen lately are round just like the car ones. i have seen 3 diferent styles and there are probably more.

Interesting. Ya even if my power goals are fullfilled I prolly will be in the
6xxhp range on spray MAX. So i guess its not enough to make a diff for me.

Thanks parish8

I am thinking so. I got this retarded random missfire during idle and it's either the coil/s or a vac leak. everything else in the ignition has either been upgraded or replaced.
