No, it has hypereutectic pistons I think, and it will handle nitrous. The Wood Hauler has a 2002 4.8 and has 125 NX wet shot on it and has had for about 1 1/2 years with no problems.

Go check his profile, I do all of his work but I can't remember everything. His truck has about 80,000 miles on it, I think you will be fine.

125 shot is fine, anything more you will need to think about upgrading the fuel system.

Just for reference Deckhand ran a 13.1 with his 4.8 on a rich 125 shot and no bottle heater (low pressure) - just get a wet system and jet it rich (larger fuel jet then recommended) for some added safety if youre worried about it

i dropped from a 14.8X to a 13.4X in the same nite with a 100 nx shot (52/28 pills) with 80K miles on my truck. don't have a single safety device. no WOT switch, no window switch, no FPSS, in fact i still have the 87 octane hpp3 tuning and tr55s in my truck. i wouldn't recommend doing that, as the DA the nite i ran was well into the negatives and it was COLD so i wasn't worried about detonation
