Default Can I runs cats with LTs?

I was thinking about getting those hi-flow cats from magnaflow to go along with the pacesetter LTs and ORY, but how is it all going to fit? I would like to just run no cats, but my truck has to be able to pass the emissions inspection. And don't tell me about the other LTs that come with the cats, I'm not paying $1100 for some LTs.

I paid the money for mine! Looks like O.E. quality! Wouldn't have done it any other way.
But for an answer for you, the guys here are having ORY pipes fabbed with cats. You will have to find a muffler shop that is willing to do what you need done for the cats to be added.
Good Luck!

Jim

Mine's being done right now, I'll post pix this afternoon. I'm doing Pacesetter Lt's, having flanges welded on, to stock cats, to 3" X pipe, to dual 6" round Mags, to chrome dump tips.

My research came up with the stock cats flowing well enough. I was also informed of some trucks throwing codes with LTs and 3" high flow cats due to how they may not heat up enough. So rather than roll the dice for an extra $400 I stuck with what definately will work. Only neg to my set up is it will reduce from 3" to 2 3/4" at the cats and increase to 3" again but, whatever. It's still gonna be SICK!

Wait, would an ORY add any power, or am I just better off with the LTs and the high-flow cats? And whats the part number for my truck with the magnaflow cats?

Yeah, but what about the ORY? Is it really necessary if I'm going to run cats? The only reason I want the LTs, ORY and cats is because I thought it was better. But like I said, if the ORY doesn't make any difference when running cats, then I could just save the money and run just LTs with some hi-flow cats.

ORY = no cats, so you cant have a ORY with cats, its just a catted y-pipe or off road. and yes a ORY will make a difference and hi-flow cats will just be a waste of money
