Default can i reuse my gaskets

can i use my stock factory head gaskets. im going to switch out my heads and dont have anyother car parts dealer open on a sunday that have the gaskets..

No, you need new ones. Your not suppose to re-use the stock head bolts as well.

how many miles and mods....... Just to let you know.. i reused my gaskets on my 5.3l at 100,000 miles and no leakes or nothing... i also reused my bolts....

thats the only gasket not reusable

and no way in hell to use stock bolts again

I dont see how you would be able to reuse the head gaskets more than once. When I pulled my heads there was gasket material stuck to both the heads and block. I replaced mine with MLS gaskets.

definitely dont reuse the stock bolts. they're a torque-once bolt. they're done with after used once. PartNumber (12498545) is for 99-04 LS1's. Not sure if they're the same for the 4.8/5.3

New head gaskets. The other gaskets should be fine though, but definantly new head gaskets.

You could get away with using the bolts again before you could the gaskets. I've seen people reuse the bolts before, but like said, it's not best practice to do it that way.
