Default Can I install Headers/Exhaust While Transmission Is Out?

I just got done removing my 4.8 and building my 6.0l and reinstalling it. I now have every piece and part that i need to finish the install but as you all know that takes some time. I'm currently building my transmission but would like to go ahead and install the rest of my parts. Would it be smart to go ahead and install my long tubes and ORY before the transmission goes in or will that just cause the tranny install to take longer (anything get in the way)? I'm just trying to save myself as much time as i can.

you can install the headers now, the ORY passes under the transmission and has to be removed to remove/ replace the transmission.

Depending on the type of header too you may not be able to get the starter in and out with the passenger header installed, and it may make access to the bellhousing bolts more difficult. Headers don't take long - I'd just wait personally.

if they are pacesetters and you have a lift, i would go ahead and put them on. if your on the ground i would leave them off until the transmission is in. reason being is cuz theres a tranny bolt on the passenger side that can be a PITA to get to with the headers on and no lift.

Luckily me and my dad just installed a 9,000lb rotary lift! I know they don't take long to put on either way... but as long as i've been at it on this truck i'm just a bit eager!!! haha
