Can a crew cab 5.3 be fast? Apparently not

8psi sts, non intercooled, 2800 tci stall, injectors, fuel pump.
Do you have a meth kit on the truck. If not without meth or an I/C your IAT is probably hurting you at 8 psi in the summer heat.

I'm not sure how far you are from Allen, but being able to sit in the truck goes a helluva way towards a better tune -- even if he doesn't get her on the dyno.

Turbos can be tricky to tune -- lots of factors in the equation. Make sure you can check your KR, your fuel pressure, your boost (assuming you have a boost gauge and are not going on what the spring should be giving you).

I ran 7.5psi without meth on higher compression, but I tuned for it.

Are you able to log? That will also help Allen out if you can't get to him.

Could this have anything to do with the traction control (if so equipped) not allowing the truck to go into power enrichment? If you have TC, turn it off before you run. Seems to make a difference on my Tahoe, on the street anyway, I haven't made it to the track yet

time to invest in hp tuners sounds like your serious enough to learn how to tune
its the best modding investment ive made to date it taught me alot

With a turbo @ 4-5psi on the line and a 2800 stall that should be MUCH better.

Something definately ain't right.

i would have to agree that something isn't right for sure. on the other hand it is an STS kit. they put down great numbers on the dyno...

they put down great numbers on the track also.....get with allen and see what he thinks bout your problem...i think you need a meth kit to get you temps down so it doesnt pull so much timing from the motor...dont know unless your logging the info thou...
