I have a 2003 Tahoe Z71 and I am going to send the PCM off to get a tune, but I still need the truck to drive around during the week. I was wondering if a 2002 Tahoe 4x4 5.3 PCM would work in my 2003 Tahoe 4x4 5.3. I only ask because I can pick one up cheap from a chop shop nearby. It would be in the truck a week while waiting for the tuned PCM to be mailed back. Any input would be great. Thanks.

 

The 2003 motors have drive by wire throttle body control(electronic controlled, but 2002 uses a throttle cable), so i dont think this will work on your 2003. You could just pay the core charge and keep your stock PCM, or maybe send off the 02 PCM for your tune. Just a thought; good luck.
