I lost 3mpg in town. Half of that is probably due to all that extra lead that soaked through my skin and settled in my right foot. Go figure. Haven't checked HW mileage yet.

I think I may have lost 1mpg at most.

I started off with a stock mpg of 16-16.5 and running 16.1@86mph..

After the cam, LTs, stall etc. and a killer tune I was gettign 15.5mpg and running 14.29@97mph.

I'd say it was defiantely worth the 1mpg drop lol

wow thats a good time w/ all that done! A buddy of mine that goes to LSU in Lousiana, works at Thunder racing. He was telling about a new cam that they make inhouse. Its called the "TRAK" cam Thunder racing *** kicker (231/234 .640/.590 112 LSA )What do you guys think about the specs...Will that hit pretty hard and be able to be heard or more of a factory spec cam?

220/224 comp cam, LT's, tuned, K&N, etc etc.
pretty much all i do is highway driving, very little in town. hasnt lost any mileage that ive noticed. obviously gained a lot of power and tows the car and trailer to the track a lot easier. CHIP

That cam is friggin huge in a 5.3 it will have to be tuned exstensively and you would probably have piston to valve clearance issues but Im not cam expert by any means but it would definately have lope to it for sure. I would venture to say it would probably have a powerband that went up to 7000. My cam starts dying at about 6600 and that cam is substantially bigger than mine. I am very happy with the results of my cam and the sound.

If you want close to stock idle and mpg lingenfelter cams are the way to go they have done extensive emission legal testing. I have only lost 1-2 mpg city and still get 20 or so on highway w/ 3.73 gears. gt-2-3 or gt-7
