in my opinion, its all in the tune and your personal driving habits. my buddy has a custom grind around a 220 on a 115 LSA, running a 3000 stall. gas milage was not affected on HWY, and only a slight decrease in city driving, maybe 1MPG loss. It pulled 21MPG on the highway coming back from the dyno where it layed down 318 HP, on a cam only ext. cab truck.

1 to 2 mpg. Hard to tell because I floor it everywhere. If you drive normally the difference is not significant. The problem is, its hard to drive normally when you have the extra power. You'll find yourself cruising at 85+ on the highway and racing anything with rims or a sticker.

i would have to agree with bowtiekyle on the tune and driving habits. i didn't lose any mpg with the cam. playing around with the tune however, i have seen my mpg drop considerably when its pig rich.

Don't think I lost any from the cam itself, but heavier right foot has definitely hurt my economy

Wow thats sooo my brother! he's the one looking for the cam. A buddy of ours works at Thunder Racing in Monroe and hes checking everthing out for him. He wants the extra power but doesn't want to sacrafice the gas mileage!

Exactly. With my cam I lost about a mpg on the highway I am getting better mileage by about 1/2 of mpg cause I got Allen Nelson to tune it in person. IMO the key to having a truck that will run good and not be a gas guzzler after a cam swap is getting the tuning right I would highly recommend getting an inperson tune by someone that knows what they are doing. I love the top end now. My truck is wicked quick with the nitrous now from a punch at 80 to ~130 it was enough to take out a mustang gt with a crap catless exhaust.
