Cam Swap V 6 - who's done it
#11
I've got a custom Crower roller in my balanced shafted s-10, had to change over to SBC roller rockers because of the lift and double valve springs...
But in the end 150 shot of nitrous is what woke it up...

I found this one . . . but there's no telling if it'll fit

Comp does list two cams that are for computer controlled applications (actually three) that look fairly decent. One of them is advertised at being 210/215 .500/.500 112 with a 1800 to 5000rpm power band and the other is 215/220 .500/.500 114 with a 2000 to 5500rpm power band. Either of which will pull way higher than the factory stick wants to.

I'll rephrase that, ( to me ) its worthless cam'ing the 4.3 seeing some of the prices for them. The 4.3 does not have a big aftermarket ( specialy the balance shafters ) and it's a damn shame because they are some tough engines that make a decent amount of torque. Don't think I have had a vehical out of the 11 I have owned that survived 40k miles in a year and not break. I'de give the 210/215 .500/.500 112 a shot if you are dead set on caming it...that or throw in a v8 : )

And if you are going to throw headers into the mix, I would stay away from JBA shorties wont really offer much hp for their cost. You might be able to find some one to custom make a medium or long tube set for the same price but long tubes might be hard to get to fit seeing how the steering junk and frame rails offer very little room.
