Default Cam swap in progress

Well I decided tonite to get the cams swapped out and get it done. This is my second cam swap and it just gets easier. I just got the new cam and and it took about a hour and a half by myself to get the old one out and the new one in. I didn't even use the tools ( which are a waste of money anyway) or any magnets. Well I am going back to work, check back later

I'm really eager to hear how this cam runs compared to your previous setup. It should be an all around better setup.

Well I am done for the night, I am just beat. All I gotta do tommorrow is put the water pump on, put the radiator back in,and the coils. Not a bad night considering I started at 7:30.

I think you are right BigTex, I think this will be a way better setup than what I was using, I just hope it will idle ok until I can get to the dyno this week. I think it will be ok.

Well after a scare yesterday, I am really pleased with the new cam so far. The power comes on at about 2000 rpm and is very smooth all the way up. I had thought I would see a loss of lowend with this cam,but there is none. I am very pleased with the idle also, a very faint lope. I have put almost 100 miles on it. I hope to maybe go to the dyno Friday morning, so Bryan can tune it and we can make some power. The XER lobe doesn't make as much noise as I thought too.

I went from a 216/220 525/532 on a 114LSA to a 220/224 581/581 on a 115LSA

I can't really tell, I will have to compare dyno sheets from last time and this time. I hope to have some answers on Friday.
