It is time to pick a cam I would like some opinions on what I should use

3.43 rear gear
3200 stall
6.0
5.3 heads 2.02 1.57 valves

plus all bolt ons

Plans are for nitrous aroudn 150 - 175 shot

Whoops forgot the heads are also milled .30 over

 

Wow.. .030 milled 5.3 heads on a 6.0.. that is going to be some wicked compression.

Anyway... since p-v clearance is more than likely going to be a problem with big duration/lift numbers.. I would say in the neighborhood of a high 22x low 23x with a .57x-.58x lift. Just choose an agressive lobe profile to get the most out of it.

 

Try out the fms cams. He can build one somewhat around your setup. Theres also some guys out there who can really go custom for you, and get the specs just about perfect.

Theres also a bunch of off the shelf cams. Better to talk to the experts though if your puttin together an expensive setup.
