Anyone else on this forum also getting twice the stock power out of their smallblock can also tell you about the downtime that goes along with it. Stuff will break. If you need your truck there every day ready to roll you're making a serious mistake with the performance crap.

Have you ever thought about picking up a beater to run errands and be your backup vehicle? How about an old 4-cylinder S-10 or something. That will haul any part or assembly you could break on the C1500, and the entire little truck can be had for less than the price of a performance transmission build. Without a spare vehicle minor setbacks along the way become huge things that will stress you out. Not worth it...
