Your only shot at someone knowing the correct size would be if every component of the valvetrain, including the cam, was from the same company. And even then the head gasket thickness is important.

Honestly, if this is your daily driver and you depend on it that much, don't **** with it. You are not in a position to go down this road. Anyone else on this forum also getting twice the stock power out of their smallblock can also tell you about the downtime that goes along with it. Stuff will break. If you need your truck there every day ready to roll you're making a serious mistake with the performance crap.
it tooke me 2 months to get mine running, I could have done it faster but i took my time and also had to buil up funds... What you want to do is not a weekend project... You need to take your time and not rush things otherwise things will come out really screwed up..

Have you ever thought about picking up a beater to run errands and be your backup vehicle? How about an old 4-cylinder S-10 or something. That will haul any part or assembly you could break on the C1500, and the entire little truck can be had for less than the price of a performance transmission build. Without a spare vehicle minor setbacks along the way become huge things that will stress you out. Not worth it...

SO if i was using comp brand pushrods,comp brand roller rockers, and comp brand cam would they know what size lenth to use?
