Default cam question

i have a 2011 silverado that im planningon supercharging in thenext few months, but at the moment im lookin at a cam, possibly... i want a little bit of lope in it, nothing wild! but it needs to work well with the magnacharger tvs1900. do all cams need the lifters and springs installed or can thecamjust be installed itself ?

you dont need lifters,but you need spring on any cam swap anything over a .230 u need duel springs

I heard this cam on YouTube and it sounds pretty good it's a 231/235 .617/.620 so I don't need any pushrods or anything just the stiffer springs even with DOD

u need harden p/rs just like spring its a must with a cam swap...dont get the cheap stuff, if u ever wana go bigger u would already have what you need..i would say get 7.4 pushrods and 650 lift spring..what motor you have?

4.8L... What does the DOD delete consist of ?

.650 lift is for a race motor...anything over .550 on stock heads is counterproductive.

edit: and the cam you saw on youtube is WAY too big for a 4.8

What would u suggest for a mild cam that is streetable for a daily? I want it to work with my future plans of supercharging/ water meth here in the next few months...
