Cam Question???

i dunno if the oil pump swap is the same on the trucks, but on ls1's you had to drop the front of the oil pan some to get to the oil pump bolts. After the oil pump's off the timing chain comes right off just about. But the hardest part would be getting enough space to get to the oil pump bolts

Check some of the sponsors for package deals.. most cams new are 349-400, pushrods are 100-120, and springs are usually 150-200 i think now?

along with that you need a timing cover gasket, water pump gaskets, crank bolt, and a crank seal..

im not trying to scare ya off by money, but those are things you need to do the swap right. Try sending Vinci Hi Performance a email or give them a call and they will help you pick a cam for your trucks setup

Couldnt he use a new trailblazer ss tq converter 2 allow more freedom with a cam choice? I heard it has bout 2-300 more rpms of freedom? Not for certain new to this whole ls1 truck thing more use to the camaros and ta's

im running the cam in my sig with the stock converter, I wouldnt say it has more low end but i definatly didnt loose any power down low, & it pulls noticable better than stock above 3K rpm
