Default Cam only 6.0L capabilities

What amount of RWHP can be achievable with a LQ4, stock heads, healthy cam, and supporting boltons (Headers, exhaust, CAI, etc) ?

Just curious of the power increases over a 4.8L/5.3L.

The power increase is huge. Most importently to trucks is the big torque increase.

I think a stock LQ4 6.0L should put down 340-350 rwhp with a mild cam, and 350-370rwhp with a good size cam.

I don't wanna hijack the thread, but what would be a mild cam for a 6.0? And what stall do you think would work well with it? thanks

A mild cam for a 6L would be like a 224 114lsa the one Im going with could be considered an aggressive cam 230 with a 112lsa 580 lift. I am going to be cutting it close on valve piston clearance but I will get alot of hp from it too. I have a 3000 stall that will allow me to go that big though I am going to get my stall restalled to 3600-3800. I am expecting to get about 80hp from my 6l h/c swap and lt headers.

A friend of mine has an 88 iroc that he put an LQ9 in with a large FMS cam in. With a 4400 yank and a 9" rear end I think he did almost 390rwhp at the f-body gathering in Atlanta a few weekends ago. I cant remember what the tq was but it was pretty high. He posted the numbers in the dyno section here. His name on here is TJ. Here is the link that I found on the threadhttps://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=329387

Thats a carburated 6L man those are nice numbers but you could easily get totally different numbers.

Budhayes3 if I were you and I wanted a nice streetable 6L with a mild stall get you a 2800 or so stall of your choice(my TCI is actually a 2800-3000 and drives like stock until you punch it) and something like a 224 or 222 with a 114lsa for easy tuning. Im going big cause I want a real big nice lope to my engine plus I am getting my stall restalled so low end power is not a big deal.

BLK6.0LHD had a very sweet N/A setup on his 2500HD 4x4. Cam only he was whooping my butt with similar mods and him having 500lbs on my truck

He had to have been trapping about 100mph in the 1/4 because he was tearing off Mustang GTs like nothing and when i was trapping 96-97mph he would walk me HARD on the freeway.

You think 400rwhp is possible cam only?

I see a few fbody people producing 400+ numbers cam only, so I was just curious.
