I installed my cam last week, and it sounds sweet. I got idle set but when i put it in gear with the brake on it wants to die. Is this a vacume problem? It keeps idling fine ingear w/ the e brake on, just not with the brakes on.
It pulls crazy hard now, and i cant wait to get some new times. I have a few more questions that i'll post up later.

Lingenfelter 218/229 .560 113LSA.
It lopes hard enough to rock the truck side to side at idle, and it revs fast too. Im just not sure if i need to put a vacume booster on for the power brakes. I really like the way its running, and think it will drop my time alot. I am currently shifting it at 6300rpms and it just keeps pulling harder and harder the higher i rev it. Down low it feels about like stock, but up high it feels like its pulling as hard as my Camaro.
By the way, i used the russian rulet method on the cam swap and it went perfectly. I wouldnt reccomend it though.
Anyone else with fairly large cams have trouble idleing in gear with the brakes on?

Did you drill the throttle body? I would start at a 1/8" but you will probably have to go larger. Just drill a hole at the bottom of the plate. The reason being that it idles ok with the brakes not on is the engine is using the vacuum in the booster to let it idle. When you apply the brakes you are taking that air supply away. Good luck.
edit: Just realized you weren't a noob, sorry, but I'll leave it up for others I guess.

Still need to know if my vacume problem is common, and if i need to put a vacume booster on the power brakes to stop it. BigTex, Parish what do you guys think?
I cant seem to find a place to refill my bottle here in Maine, but i should have some new N/A times comeing soon.

I don't have a hole in my TB, but your cam is a little bigger than mine. You should be able to tune some of it out if not all of it. Have you done anything with the diel air control tables yet? There are 2 of them.
