Default Cam for my 5.3??

I wanna use a tb converter for now. want something decent lowend and good mid maybe. plannin on running spray next year. what do ya'll think?

I was lookin into the tr220, could i run z06 springs with it?

the cam in my sig or similar would be pretty tasty, except you would have to get real springs...

212/218 is a popular choice for using lower end converters and springs.

yeah thats the setup i have seen also a lot of people just go 224/224 and they get good results.

on my last truck with z06 springs i used a 222/222 thunder racing i belive

also, my buddy mentioned someone in dallas area that cuts cams. thinkin bout ordering one from him. anyone got a cam from him before?

With the right valve timing and advance, yes the 212/218 can make good power low and mid. Its still a fairly small cam though. But using z06 springs will limit the size cam you can get.

216/220 525/532 is as big as i'd go with Ls6 springs. that's what i'm currently running.

if your planning to spray and keeping the same cam, go ahead and go with a split cam... 220/224
