Default cam, lifters, and rollers for 5.7

I'm starting to get into the internal engine stuff and was wondering if any of yall have ideas or suggestions on installing a cam, lifters, and roller rockers. The engine is a 1996 vortec 5.7 with only cold air, magnaflow duals, and hypertech programmer. I know the computer will have to be sent off with a new cam so prolly wheatly or blackbear for that. Also will these mods have to be done together or at different times? Its still my dd so nothing to wild. Also what times can i expect from these mods? Im running et of 8.00 in the 1/8 mile. would like good 7.5 or better or is that asking to much? And sorry for the long post! Thanks and much appreciation guys!

I dont see how with the very few mods i've done. I was told i'd prolly be runnin mid 14s by several guys at local track if it was 1/4. The track in byram MS is the closest one and its only an 1/8.
