Default Cam Install...got some issues

I started my cam install tonight and I ran into a few problems. First of all im installing a double roller timing chain, and I dont think the teeth on the cam gear and the crank gear are going to line up. That is the point that I am at right now and I will pick up in the am. Any thoughts???

Second thing is I rolled the crankshaft before I had the chance to put the #1 firing pistion at TDC. I dont want to go any farther until I know for sure that I have the timing right between the cam and crank..... Any suggestions??

Third is there any easier way to get the oil pump bolted back up to the inlet tube that goes into the oil pan?

Other than that everything went pretty well, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully I can get this thing back together and fire it up!!!!

Default

double rollers need to be shimed to line up

bring number one piston up to its toped out slightly above the block this will be where the star should line up at, and isnt there a key way to help you out? if youre lower sprocket is still on then it has a dot to help line up which you can see

drop the pan just enough to insert bolt again
