Cam help (because of yall)
#11
Juts run the cam you already have. For the amount of comp cam cores that have had problems, there have been thousands without issue. If you're that worried about it, do a little research. It isn't difficult to go to google and find who sells LSx camshafts, and what company they get their cores from. With the responses and remarks you've made to the few who have attempted to help you I doubt you'll receive much more, if any more, help from the guys on here. A little bit of effort and humility on your own part goes a long way sir. Or the "simpler to understand" version, don't be a dick, and use google rather than have someone else do all of your research for you.

any company can cut you any grind. howards, cam motion, i think Texas Speed cuts their own cams now...call them with your specs and have them cut it. i custom cam is no more expensive than an off the shelf cam. describe what you want and they can choose a lobe that fits your needs.
comp is the largest, and most commonly used, so naturally you will see more of the common problems. i'd bet for the amount of cams they have on the road, the actual failure rate is very low.

Yeah you gotta figure 8/10 cams is a comp core, so of course you'll hear about the defects just because there are so many of them out there.
Mine's a BTR cut comp core.... no issues so far.
