Default cam help

I am looking for a cam for my 4.8 somthang that gona help me with power and still get good gas miliege.

I know many probably wont agree with me, but I put the GM Performance LS1 Hotcam in my 4.8 and I like it alot. After spending some time tuning it, i get decent mileage and my truck is definitely snappier.

i get about 15-16 mpg unless im on it then its like 8 but i wasnt goin for mpg anyways probably the standard 220/220 isnt bad i dont know im sure someone here will know a good one.

talk to DozerDan, his 212/218 or somethin like that he was gettin like 15+ MPG?? correct me if Im wrong

i am averaging 18.6 mpg all around, and over 20 if i am just hwy... with over 300 rwhp

212/218 is a good cam

he has changed cams since that one.... he must have too much money or something?

haha, yeah I saw that and I agree
but his truck sounds good as hell and he's supposed to be making a ton more power. Im hopin Ill make at least a clean 300 horse after my cam. The LTs feel real good right now but since I dont have a muffler they're higher RPMs.

if ur looking for mileage I'd say go with the 212/218, probably low lift. I dont have a too radical cam, some say a bit big for the 4.8 but I think Ill hold my own
