yeahh thats what i dont want and what are the stock heads compression. would a set of like LS1 heads be reasonable

ls1 heads would kill your compression. the heads you have are the smallest combustion chamber of them all. now some 4.8 pistons and some ls6 heads would do nicely. other than that you have to shave and port and polish what you have.
