Default Cam???

Is there a cam that will give me a good overall gain but not sound too choppy so the dealer does not know any different when I take it in. Also I will have a full exhaust system on it headers back.

Cheaply, I am going with a 01 ZO6 Cam, advanced +4*. It will move the power band down to a good level for a truck and still idle nicely. You should expect high 20's to low 30 hp increase. The tune will only help the situation out. Spring change is required when changing this cam too.
BTW where in Kansas are you from? I used to live there, so just curious.

hmmm, well short of a stock cam, or LS6 cam (not a great choice for a truck) i don't know what doesn't change the sound of the motor. if your dealer knows the first thing, they will notice just about ANY cam you put in it.

Like I said, as long as you advance it +4* it will be fine for a truck (01 ZO6)
