CUT the A/C belt ??...in DEATH VALLEY ??....it can hit 100 degrees in JANUARY here (I'm NOT kidding)

*I will however admit that the thought had crossed my mine this morning*

I got the belt off (and back on) by doing exactly what XLR8NSS suggested *bows VERY low*....I never would have thought to use the motor side of the pulley to free up some slack

Stupid question, but can you still run the heater with the A/C belt removed?
