Default Burning plug wires with old style Dyntech headers

I have a set of the old style Dynatech truck headers on my truck with the hump on the drivers side. I keep burning the wires on cylinder 5 and 7. I have tried using fiberglass heat sleeves but the problem is the wires still make contact with the primaries and over time burn through.

Besides replacing the drivers side with a new style header what else have you guys done?

IDK if mine are new style or old, but I made a half circle bracket out of metal strip to hold the wires away from the headers. Drilled a hole in the strip and bolted it to the block. I'll try and get a pic tomorrow to show what I'm talking about.

I've seen pics of home made brackets that hold the wire away from the primary, that's pretty trick. Zip ties are another method that seems to work, but the bracket idea is cooler.

I use zipties on a couple for peace of mind and a strap like bracket like Magnetized has.

I wrapped a piece of #12 copper wire a few turns and bolted the wire to the head, the wire allows some flex but still you can bend it to keep off the header. the other one I used a long wire around the steering column.
