Default BTR Truck Cam Stg 2 vs TSP Truck Cam Stg 3 in 6.0L LQ4. Which one?

Since Xmas is coming around again been thinkin of putting a cam in the ol' girl.

Torn between the low lift BTR truck cam stage 2 (212/218) or the TSP truck cam stage 3 (216/220 112 LSA). Simple question.. What would yall go with? I want to hear everyone's opinion/ experiences with any of the two cams listed.

Truck is a 2003 Silverado 1500HD crew cab. Mainly stock with 33,xxx miles now. Has the LQ4 6.0L w/ the 317 heads, 4l80e, and 4.10 gear. Only engine mods are an airaid mit and a crapmaster muffler that I plan on switching out with a borla xr1 muffler or corsa db diesel muffler. Truck will also be on stock torque converter. I plan on switching the valve springs and pushrods while I'm in there. I mainly use the truck for hauling things around and light to moderate offroad pismo trips.

I have a commuting car that I use for work mon-fri so gas mileage is not an issue. FUTURE MODS: 4" Tuff Country lift kit on AR172 17x9s -12 offset w/ 315/70/17 tires.

Stage 3 high lift from tsp and dont look back. Youll make more hp and tq everywhere and use alot higher quality spring that is much quieter.
I use their stage 2 high lift in my truck and its such a great cam.
20k miles on it so far

LQ4, 4L80, not a daily, lift, Pismo.... I'd go with something designed for boost down the road. You've got everything else ready to go.

For a 6.0 I would go with the 216/220 on a 112. It will sound good and offer great power gains without sacrificing the tip in power.

i have had the BTR stage 2, 3 and 4 truck cams
2000 silverado 1500 ex cab 6.0 with ported 799 heads, NNBS intake, headers 4.10 gears
being honest the stage 2 was a torque monster off the line, really peppy and snappy throttle response.
the stage 3 had more top end, couldnt tell if i had lost low end im sure it did but i couldnt feel it.
the stage 4 lost some low end, but i swapped to 4.30 gears with a truetrac and the lowend came back and it has really good top end. im also on the stock 4L60E and stock converter still.

either cam will do great you cant go wrong with either or. the BTR stage 2 might have better lowend

If most of the cams had more lift it would be less of a sacrifice. Ive tried a few myself on my own trucks and we dyno and tune quite a few and the higher lift lobes dont sacrifice anything.

Are you still on the stock torque converter?

I actually want a Procharger for the truck somewhere down the road. One step at a time haha..

Yeah been reading up on this cam for about a year. Not too many with this cam in the 6.0l.

I've seen some of your YT vids. Stage 4 sounds sooo nice! I was also looking at the Stage 3 but it might be too aggressive for our CA streets lol #commiefornia

The tsp high lift cams will out power any of the lower lift cams even with a few degrees more duration.

Id use the stg3 high lift like a few others said and not look back.

I did a TSP high lift cam package in my 2003 6.0, several years ago, amazing cam for the cost and the service from TSP is best you will find.

I have an EPS 214/220 .598/.604 111 LSA in my LQ4, pretty similar cam to the TSP S3 high lift. Plenty of torque, behaves well with the stock converter. That said, the TSP 216/220 high lift gets my vote.
