Thanks for the replies guys! Yeah I think I'll settle with the high lift TSP Stage 3 truck cam in the future. Def want something that wont sacrifice torque on the low end. Don't care too much for top end it's not a race truck.

what rpm are you turning the BTR truck 2 to? I feel 6,000 isn’t letting it shine

I've seen some of your YT vids. Stage 4 sounds sooo nice! I was also looking at the Stage 3 but it might be too aggressive for our CA streets lol #commiefornia[/QUOTE]

thank you i will be changing the cam out again, its true about the higher lift cams making more power than a low lift cam with a few more degrees of duration. although i love the btr stage 4 truck cam, i felt that the howards cam i had before pulled more cleanly than this stage 4, i dont have dyno numbers or track times to verify but i can just feel it, its like the stage 4 cam runs out of breath and struggles whereas the 218/224 .604/.604 112lsa howards cam would just pull good on top end.

the cam i purchased is a tick performance 227/231 .618/.597 111+2 lsa and i know it will help have better top end. ive probably swapped about 4 cams in this 6.0, while not worthwhile on power some might say, i enjoy doing it and i have more experience with what works and what doesn't.

Whichever you choose just don't go with the low lift.

The high lift is all gains and no trade off. Plus you said you're doing springs anyway.

Some swear by the Texas Speed truck cams and some by the BTR. Both are excellent and nobody dislikes either that I've seen.

Will you be able to pass inspection with a cam?

being honest the stage 2 was a torque monster off the line, really peppy and snappy throttle response.
the stage 3 had more top end, couldnt tell if i had lost low end im sure it did but i couldnt feel it.
the stage 4 lost some low end, but i swapped to 4.30 gears with a truetrac and the lowend came back and it has really good top end. im also on the stock 4L60E and stock converter still.

either cam will do great you cant go wrong with either or. the BTR stage 2 might have better lowend
Do you happen to have a tune file for the stage 2 you had in your truck?
