Default BTR stage one truck cam

I noticed BTR has a two Stage one truck cams. The newer one is called the V2. I actually like the older version on paper for what I am looking for. Does anyone have any first hand experience running either one in a 5.3?
Thank you

Ok, so I'm going to run that cam grind. Now the next question is to keep vvt or delete it.
My understanding is that the vvt helps with torque right off of idle.
