Default Broken Muffler?

Has anyone broken the baffles inside the mufflers? I have a flowmaster (I know not my choice) and it sounds like right now! Was fine for the first few days but progressively got worse and worse until now it's rasspy and clangy almost. Just wondering how often this happens. At least I'm hoping it's the muffler and not something else.

No I'm not sure I would. Truck has no electric cut-outs, and no cats as it is. I am actually looking for the quietest muffler I can possible find to replace it. I was in a parking structure last night and had my cut out's open and I set off (I counted) 24 car alarms on the same parking level...I don't know how many on the other levels. Truck's loud, which is fun. But when I close the cut-outs I want the quietest muffler I can find.
Any suggestions?

Cool everyone suggest magna flow which sounds like the best route to go. I was contemplating putting a stock muffler on too but I guess a magna flow will be better in the long run. I don't care about perromance with the cut-outs closed anyways. Truck is daily driven and the last thing I want is any more attention from the popo. Truck sounds odd enough with it's lope anyways!

Ive seen more Flowmasters fall apart than Fords
ive even seen one claim a engine.. it broke loose internally and clogged up the outlet and it wasnt pretty.

Your still remote mount arent ya?

I have this muffler with no cats and its ok.. im thinking about putting a small Magnaflow after the turbo to kill a little more noise.. but its not bad at all..
i can drown out the noise with my radio real easy and still be able to carry on a converstation.

I talked to several of the guys at Magnaflow and they said the Mufflers will hold up to some extreme heat, and i havent had a problem.
