I disagree with that. The same amount of heat is in there. Also we are still seeing broken bolts in Gen IV which do not have a 4 corner.

Correlation =/= causation and I think that is very true in this case.

 

LOL The aluminum in the cylinder heads holds up but steel studs can't take the temperature.

 

Huron Speed manifolds came with some kind of gold tone plated exhaust bolts. I think they said grade 8.8
Think they will hold up okay ?
Should I use regular gray Antisieze on them, or run 'em in there dry ?
Nice looking Stainless manifolds, beautiful welds.

 

i always just gave a daily soaking of PB Blaster for a week prior to removing them, and i had no issues.

 

Flaw ith the block design with how the bolts go in. Plus over torqued bolts from the factory. High heat area with repeated thermal cycling to boot.
