Oh ok... i got ya.
My buddy at the dealership said the LS6 and LS2 yellow springs are different and IIRC the LS2 springs have more lift capable..

I thought they were rated for about or the same lift, the cams are really close, but I could be wrong.

Depends on who you source for lift specs on the LS6 springs. LPE says they are good to 580, other places list them anywhere from 550 to 570. Many people run em with the GT2-3 (578 max lift) so I imagine they are close to thier limits but fine....mostly. I think the Z06 cam for which they were originally designed had a max lift of closer to 550's. I think I was just unlucky.....

Unlucky cost me a pretty penny on this one. I would have liked to do my own labor to repair this. Pulling the heads would have been fun, but I wouldn't have known what to look for and I don't have the time right now.

The truck has been through about 4 heat cycles so far from full operating temp to completely cold. I will give one more and then start working her out slowly. I am just being cautious.....but I am one of the few to have a problem with these springs, and I am a little gunshy.

Meeting Charlie on Monday to further dial in my tune for the cam.
