truck keeps running

truck keeps running
Got a 05 Silverado 2500 and when I turn the ignition to off position the truck keeps on running for about 4-5 minutes before it will turn off. Also it just starting getting the P0578 code but runs and shifts fine NO TRANNY TROUBLE. Could it just be a coincedence that the code came on the same time the running problem started?
