sh*t thats only the beginning. i special order my oil every 6000 miles. she gets kinda preterbed about why i just cant be normal

I would stay away from junk yard brake parts .. IMO that is one place not to skimp and get used parts. If you don't like the conclusion .. carry it soewhere and get a 2nd opinion.

OK, here is the deal on your problem. Until 2002, GM istalled to small of a retainer clip on the e-brake shoe. There was a TSB on it and if your truck is under warrenty, the dealership should fix it for free. What happens is the shoe falls and rides the drum inside the rotor. You will have to have it repaired or you could have problems getting your insptections yearly. It is not that hard to do yourself. The shoe and UPDTED retainer from Autozone is $50.00 including tax. It adjusts just like a regular brake drum and you also have more adjusment under the driver side of the truck where the e-brake cable runs to the rear axle. Takes about an hour. Pretty self explanatory. The only thing you have to remember to get the shoe off is to rotate it off the hub. Instructions suck.
