brake pads/stainless lines

has anyone here tried the earls lines that thunder racing sells..

are those an improvment over stock? i wonder how a set of those, plus hawk pads and good brake fluid will do?

TTT!, my dad has a GMC 1500HD Crew Cab, and the brakes are alot more sensitive.. it makes the truck feel more secure.. and my brakes feel mushy on my regular silverado. I would also like to improve the brakes on my truck. Are the stainless lines a pretty good improvement? thanks.

Well ****-me-running...it's about time they released a kit for these trucks!
I have stainless lines on my F-150...brake pedal feel is much improved. It's firmer. Also the lines don't expand under pressure...the stainless won't crack over time either.

RGV -- Not too hard to install, really... assuming each end of the rubber hoses are easily disconnected.
I haven't really looked at mine, but was wondering about a SS-brake line upgrade for a while.
It's a little messy, and brake fluid ranks just under gear-oil as far as "least liked fluids in my truck" goes.
It'd probably be a REAL good investment to install some speed bleeders at the same time here. I hate doing that job.
Deckhand -- I'm not sure about the 1500HD, but the 2500's brakes are boosted hydraulically off the power steering pump, rather than by engine vacuum. I heard the 2500 brakes generally respond better...
I'd venture to guess these braided lines will bring the 1500's up to par. They did wonders for my quad and street-bike.

Oh yes, hydra boost brakes kick a$$.
The 1500HD's should have them because they are really just 2500's in disguise.

It really shouldn't be all that hard to switch over to the hydra boost setup on a regular 1500 I wouldn't think.

I noticed with the custom brakelines I had made that my initial grab of the brakes is much better, but for overall, I can't notice any difference!
I didn't know they had specifics for our trucks, so I took one of my lines to 4x4 parts, and they had a shop that does nothing but make custom brake lines. So for all three hoses braided stainless steel, and secondary rapped in clear plastic, so there is no abbrasion, ran me $170.00
