OEM always = less headaches. Having said that, I have used the Raybestos quiet stops and they hold up well with next to no dust but some have been known to prematurely chew up rotors. I have them on the front of my 2K chrysler 300m and have stockers on the back still. They perform well and are quiet but I can see the difference in wear between front and rear. Front rotor has some scratching and rears are clean as a whistle.

I have a friend that races. He uses Hawks on both his race car and His Tahoe. Swears by them. I am getting close to needing pads on my mine. I will be going with Hawk.

GM has a mud flap type deal that you can put in front of the passenger side rear rotor to catch and prevent premature failure. When I replaced my rear brakes I still had 80% life left on my front pads. Cost $400 at the dealer to get everything fixed. I didn't buy the mud flap, I just sold the truck
ya, i was surprised how quick the rear rotors and pads went. the fronts are in great condition. $400 sounds cheap compared to what they were going to charge me. mine are on their way here, FED EX. not sure how good these are going to be, but i was looking for something cheap since i am not sure how much longer i am keeping the truck

Stopped at the dealership today, their brake man recommended the Durastop pads, which are AC Delco, he told me they were pretty close to Being as good as what came on the truck. 55$ for the rear. Sounds better than 135$ for stockers.
