I would just go with a reg magnaflow muffler but its gonna be quiter than your flowmaster till WOT with headers and off road pipe.

Go with just a reg magnaflow for that should be a nice tone but not to loud and also add some power/tq.

I would say go for a magnaflow but at WOT that thing will sound good but at idle its near stock.

That'll work-you should be pleased with the magnaflow as its not to loud at idle but at WOT it sounds really good and your getting power and torque from that as opposed to the flowmaster where its just down low.

i know my flowmaster is quiet at idle. and screams at wot. almost like it is about to blow out the muffler it is screaming so hard. only problem is, the scream doesn't sound deep, just a scream. hard to explain. it sounds more like a mustang at wot than a truck

What chamber/series flowmaster do you have? i have dual 2chamber flows dumped and it sounds pretty sweet-but i know im not getting the power i should be getting all through the rpm range like with the magnaflow muffs. I would rather give up some sound to gain power/tq but thats just me. im a performance junkie.

like you, i want performance over sound, so i will sacrifice some sound for et reduction. when i bought my truck i had the dealership have a flowmaster with dual pipes coming out of the rear. so i really don't know what series it is. i think it is one of their quieter ones. 3" in 2.5 dual out. i think it is a 70 series
