I bought a new tow rig yesterday and it isn't a Chevy. For the first time in 11 yrs I don't have a GM pickup in the driveway.
2004 Dodge 3500 quadcab 4x4 Laramie with Elkhart conversion
Cummins/6spd 4.10 limited slip
White with black/gray leather
Running boards spray in liner carbon fiber dash insert and steering wheel GPS
17 inch wheels Sport package
I'm sure I forgot some stuff
I never thought I would own a Mopar but after shopping the big three it was an easy choice. The Ford and Chevy dealers were nutty on the numbers they wanted to give me for my trade and they wanted to much for the new truck. The difference was anywhere from 8-13 grand more than the price for the Dodge when all things were considered.I got a truck that stickered at 53 k and I picked it up for 39,700.00.I put 200 miles on it yesterday and can't wait to hook up the gooseneck to see how it pulls a trailer. The bottom end torque in this rig is unreal.I can put the truck in 3rd and let the clutch out without giving it any fuel and it will take off without stalling.I really like this truck even though it's a Mopar.

I've owned a PSD Ford and a Dmax in the last 5 years and was looking for a change. The new Dodges are way better than the previous style in both fit, finish, ride quality and looks.I never thought I would own one but with the big difference in price and the 600lb ft at idle I went with it.Anyone considering a new diesel truck should at least test drive a Dodge.I think the resale value of a loaded laramie quadcab 4x4 dually should be pretty good compared to a equal ford or chevy.
